Leticia exemplifies what is meant to be a "GN" (good nurse). She is always professional in her appearance and manner. She is intelligent, and brings her critical thinking into her everyday practice and decision-making. Her patients receive the benefit of her knowledge and the welcoming and warm bedside manner; as well as her encouraging demeanor. Her Spanish language skills enhance her ability to provide this excellent service to all of her patients.

As a charge nurse, Leticia is organized and calm. She makes sure there is coverage at the desk, and is able and willing to assist where needed, (ie. with mom and infant discharges, coverage with breaks).

As a breastfeeding proponent, she has eagerly put in her time to further the Baby Friendly efforts and go "above and beyond" to accomplish the goals. And she does this all with a smile on her face and a great sense of humor! Leticia is always more than willing to drop what she is doing to help her patients and fellow nurses. She is an awesome charge nurse who is fair in her assignments, but also does everything she can to help her nurses with their patients and whatever they need. She is a compassionate nurse to both her patients and fellow nurses. She definitely deserves the DAISY Award. This nurse communicates well with doctors, other nurses and patients. She is always willing to help others. Great nurse!
