"Always" is the word most often used to describe Leticia Espino, RN, Maternity. "Leticia always lives the SFMC Mission and demonstrates the Vincentian Values in every situation and in every interaction," says Maternity Center manager Shannon Hadnot, who nominated Leticia for this honor. "She is always patient and compassionate, she is always smiling, she is always willing to respond to patients' and co-workers' needs, and she always treats others with dignity and respect."

Colleagues, students, and patients whole-heartedly support this highest recognition for Leticia, and attest to her leadership, professionalism, extensive knowledge of nursing, quick critical thinking, and excellent teaching skills. She is willing to share all of her talents and gifts, and is ever-ready to serve as a preceptor whenever called upon.

Leticia has an open heart and an open ear, taking the time to truly listen to her patients. This puts new mothers at ease and enables Leticia to respond to any concern a mom may have about her own health or the well-being of her baby.
