Levena Thompson, RN

Levena has been working with the Winslow Ambulatory clinic since the Pandemic started and she has been an asset to the team. She works quietly and diligently every day and has not had any medication errors. She has shown to be competent in her nursing skills and shows her leadership skills when she is asked to cover the charge nurse duties. She never hesitates to step in and has shown to handle difficult situations to make sure the patients are taken care of. Levena is very knowledgeable and always assists her colleagues when they need help with a task. She is often called upon to help the providers with difficult splints in the walk-in clinic and makes sure the patient is given proper instructions before they leave the clinic. Levena shows empathy with her patients, and I have observed her continually listening and communicating with patients. This just shows the compassionate nature of how she speaks kindly, listens carefully without judgement, and encourages others around her. I nominate Levena is like a nursing- gentle giant; strong, quiet, compassionate, kind spirited with a mild nature.
