Lexi Beach, RN

My child, R, was very sick and we were told by her pediatrician to go to the ER. Her labs were drawn and fluids were started. She kept vomiting and did not improve even after 2 fluid boluses and 2 doses of Zofran. She vomited so much I had to change my clothes 3 times. R got up to the unit and Lexi was assigned to her care. Lexi noted that R’s heart rate was extremely elevated and she was not moving or responding to verbal cues. Lexi got on the phone right away and got additional orders for R. She advocated for my daughter and R improved so much overnight thanks to Lexi!
