This past weekend, I watched Lexi show compassion and love for a family that she didn’t know. The family came into the Labor and Delivery unit after finding out they had lost their sweet baby girl. Lexi did everything in her power to make such a horrible situation somewhat good and give the family the best experience possible during this time. She made not only the mother but the father feel seen and loved during this time. She made sure that this sweet baby would never be forgotten, arranging pictures to be taken for the family so that they would forever have memories of their little girl. She made sure to take extra time to be the shoulder the family could cry on or give them the smile that they needed during this dark time. Lexi makes a difference with each patient she cares for! She is truly a blessing to our unit and to our patients.
