I am honored to nominate Lexi for the DAISY Award for her outstanding clinical skill, quick critical thinking, and extraordinary compassionate care.

During a cardiac stress test, Lexi identified early signs of ST-segment elevation almost immediately after they appeared. Her rapid recognition of this life-threatening change allowed her to notify the provider without delay and initiate urgent interventions. Despite the high-stress environment and an anxious family member present in the room, Lexi remained calm, focused, and in full control of the situation.

Under the direction of the physician, she administered the necessary medications, established IV access, and provided continuous support and reassurance to both the patient and their family. She coordinated care efficiently with the assisting LPN and continued monitoring and stabilizing the patient until EMS arrived.
Lexi’s quick action and composure were truly life-saving. Her ability to maintain professionalism, compassion, and clinical excellence under intense pressure is a remarkable example of what nursing should be. I genuinely believe her early identification and immediate response made the critical difference for this patient.
Lexi exemplifies the heart of nursing, and I am proud to recognize her for the exceptional care she provided. She is truly deserving of this nomination.
