It's rare that a nurse in the mental health field gets recognized. There seems to still be a stigma attached. Lexie is so dedicated. She fulfills a passion with so much love and compassion. She not only helped keep me safe, but she also challenged me every day to dig deep within to find myself. She complimented my poetry and encouraged me to continue to express myself through writing instead of my old ways. Her warm smile invited me to trust her and drew me to be open and honest with my thoughts and feelings. I'm going home today with better confidence and improved self-esteem thanks to Lexie.
