October 2025 Honoree
Lexy Hemphill, BSN, RN
My husband had open-heart surgery. He did well and was discharged home. He developed afib and had to be readmitted. Lexy was a real blessing for both of us. She went above and beyond, working with transport for his ultrasound and MRI. She stayed with him and monitored him as a person with the heart monitor attached.
Lexy made sure he had all supplies, extra blankets, ice, water, and anything he needed. She also supported the family. I never felt like we were imposing. She took care of my husband as a person, not just another patient. Lexy is an amazing person and a true blessing to the nursing profession, especially to our family.

Thank you, Lexy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
