October 2025 Honoree
Lexy M Kor, RN
Lexy was one of the RN's on staff the night I came into Labor & Delivery, not knowing at the time that I was experiencing pre-term labor at about 30 weeks pregnant with twins. While I was being monitored late into the evening, I found out I needed to be transferred via ambulance to Avera McKennan, and Lexy volunteered to go with me. Lexy sat next to me in the back of the ambulance and talked with me the entire way, making me feel comfortable during a situation where I felt nervous and uncertain of what the outcome would be. I remember her following me all the way up to my room at McKennan and wishing me well before she left to head back to Marshall in the early morning hours. I will never forget the compassion and calmness you brought me during this time, and I am forever thankful that I got to be in your care during that part of my pregnancy. I now have 4-month-old twin boys, and we are forever thankful for you and the care we received. Thank you!!
Thank you, Lexy M, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
