We had a very difficult delivery with an extremely sick newborn that had a lethal disorder. The parents were Spanish-speaking. While the interpreter through Voyce was very good and was able to interpret all of the medical information, Leydy recognized that a personal touch would be comforting to the parents. She stepped in and spoke with the parents about the non-medical things after the baby was born. She was so helpful and comforting to the parents and was instrumental in helping the parents through such a difficult situation. Thank you to Leydy for going above and beyond to help these parents feel less alone in this terrible situation.
