Yo era enfermera de UCI adulta y me fui a estudiar un magíster en investigación fuera de Chile.

Al regresar no sabía bien cómo abrirme camino en la investigación y no tenía un equipo al cual unirme, así que volví a la UCI.

Pero Leyla me invitó a participar de sus proyectos de investigación, me enseñó cómo se mueve el mundo de la investigación y me motivó a liderar proyectos según mis conocimientos.

Gracias a eso dejé la UCI y me fui a formar el equipo de proyectos e investigación de la dirección de enfermería, y logré publicar trabajos en muy buenas revistas.

Siempre es solidaria con su conocimiento y es una gran mentora para mí.

Me motivó a comenzar mi doctorado y ahora me sigue apoyando para desarrollar mi tesis doctoral con ella.

Estoy tremendamente agradecida por su apoyo y ejemplo.

I was an adult ICU nurse, and I went to study for a master’s degree in research outside of Chile.

When I returned, I did not really know how to find my path in research, and I did not have a team to join, so I returned to the ICU.

But Leyla invited me to participate in her research projects, taught me how the world of research works, and motivated me to lead projects based on my knowledge.

Because of that, I left the ICU and went on to build the nursing leadership projects and research team, and I was able to publish papers in very good journals.

She is always generous with her knowledge and is a great mentor to me.

She motivated me to begin my doctoral studies and continues to support me now in developing my doctoral thesis with her.

I am tremendously grateful for her support and example.
