I decided to confide in Lelya in regard to my personal life at home. She listened to every word that I said. She realized that I needed her ears not her mouth.
I would like to thank Leyla for being an extraordinary nurse! I am a proud veteran of the United States Army. I know the care that nurse Leyla gave me was extraordinary. I also understand that being a nurse is a calling and everyone can not be a nurse. I know that most nurses and doctors are burned out with the different diseases, schedules, etc. I decided to confide in Lelya in regard to my personal life at home. She listened to every word that I said. She realized that I needed her ears not her mouth. Before we started, I did ask her if I could talk and confide in her and she said yes, so she made sure all her work was done before we spoke. We actually talked on her lunch break, who does that!? I confided in her, she listened, and she gave her open, yet nonjudgmental opinion. I thanked her for her time and I felt so much better as a human being, which is what I needed to tell her at the time. I have stage 4 cancer of the right upper lobe of the lung, secondary cancer of the brain, and anemia due to chemotherapy. I have already successfully completed 10 rounds of radiation and I rang the bell! Now the goal is to get this into remission and ring the bell and I will!! Thank you, Leyla! Thank you and God bless!
