Nurse Liana Green is so very passionate about the care for patients. All nurses are great and so attentive; however, the one more heart-grabbing trait is how Liana conversed with my son although he was in an induced coma. Every time she came to his bedside, she spoke to him. Every time she began to treat him, she told him what she was doing and why she was doing it. Liana spoke to him just as though he could hear. Not only that, but she explained things as though he could understand. Who knows - perhaps he could hear and understand. Maybe not so, but my son has a lifelong heart of love and respect for this nurse. I say this because he is a guy who always wants to know "what and why" and Liana always told him - always!
And one of the most touching things Liana did was trim his toenails. The nails were beginning to cut into his toes. She was going to find a nail file and bring it in, but I happened to have one in my purse. Liana used it and took care of his toes. Talk about "above and beyond the call of duty." There may be other stories of nails filed, but no nurse has the care and compassion of Liana Green.
The one thing Liana did that warrants recognition, is talking to her patient as though he were awake when he was in a medically-induced coma.
