Words cannot express how wonderful Libby has been to myself and my son. Two weeks after my boys were born we moved my survivor to this hospital and that's when I met Libby. After losing one of my boys I was scared to leave my survivor alone.
But once I met Libby I knew he was in good hands; Libby took care of him like her own. She was so gentle with him. Not only gentle with him but with us as well. She often walked into the room while I was crying and gave me a hug or tissue. She explained to me and my husband always what was going on and why. She helped us understand what to expect and things were going to be ok.
When they announced our survivor was graduating to NICU 2 I cried as Libby was no longer going to be my son's primary, but she walked with me to the other unit and didn't leave me until I was ok. We have now been here in unit 2 for about 2 months and Libby still comes and checks on her own time. Without Libby, I probably would be still scared and not knowing what to expect. There are not enough times I can tell her Thank You but I can tell her that my boys will always know who she was and how blessed we were to have her in our lives.
Thank You, Libby!
