Libby Kemp, BSN, RN
I am honored to nominate Libby for a DAISY Award for the exceptional care she provided to my father while he was in the ICU after suffering a massive stroke.
From the very beginning, Libby cared for my father with extraordinary compassion, dignity, and respect. She was always attentive to his needs, ensuring he was comfortable and treating him as a person, even when he could no longer speak for himself. Her kindness was evident in every interaction and gave our family peace of mind knowing he was receiving the very best care.
What made Libby truly exceptional was the way she cared for our entire family. She patiently answered every question we had, no matter how difficult or emotional. When we were faced with decisions regarding organ donation, she explained the process with honesty, compassion, and sensitivity. She gave us the information we needed without pressure, allowing us to make informed decisions during one of the hardest moments of our lives.
Libby never made us feel like we were just another family in the ICU. She listened, comforted us, and was a steady source of strength during an incredibly heartbreaking time. Her clinical expertise was evident, but it was her empathy, patience, and genuine compassion that made such a lasting impact.
