If you would have asked me when I first got pregnant that at 20 weeks I would be rushed into an emergency C-section with my hand clenched to my nurse, I would have told you that you were crazy! Libby Spencer was not only a nurse that day, but she was also my safe haven. I remember my blood pressure rising and doctors and nurses swarming over me. It wasn't until Libby rushed to my side and calmed my nerves for them to put me under. Libby's was the first bright smile I saw upon waking up and I burst into tears receiving her sweet hug. She went above and beyond showing compassion and love to a person she had just met a few hours before when they moved me to the postpartum wing. I was upset to learn she would not be transitioning with me but yet again she showed more of her heart by coming to see me in recovery! We sat on the bed and cried as I said my thank yous. She took time from her day to check on my baby girl who is thriving in the ICU. I will tell you one thing I will always remember, and that is Libby. You have more skill, heart, companionship, and love than any nurse I've ever had. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and no matter what, you are a true DAISY Nurse.
