Liesl's kindness and professionalism are beyond reproach. She helped me and my wife get through the recovery period. She was always there willing to listen to my fears. She guided me to a healthy recovery after surgery. Now, I look forward to a healthy life. The entire SICU staff was great for my wife and me. As a retired nurse, I know what good care is!

Liesl represents the SICU on the Donor Council, is a great teacher, incredibly empathetic with extremely high emotional intelligence. She also took a lead on the opening of 4W, the COVID-19 unit. She has made the SICU better as a result of her presence.
