Being recognized for making a difference is an awesome accomplishment for a nurse. To be nominated for this prestigious award is an absolute honor, and making a difference is what Lilia Camoras RN does on a daily basis. Many do not realize the planning that goes into a nurse's day. Planning is imperative for excellent patient care outcomes. Lilia makes it appear effortless.
From the early start of her day, Lilia reviews the patients on the 4 south unit in an organized and professional manner. She assesses the daily assignments, being cognizant of the patient treatment plans, and matching their needs to the staff working that day. Having a unit with 3 specialties that of pediatrics, oncology and tele, can present as a challenge. No one would realize the many complexities, the way Lilia leads her unit in an organized, and professional manner. Lilia makes a difference each shift she works. She is an expert multi-tasker. Her talents are obvious, whether it be collaborating with physicians and families or passing meal trays. Lilia exemplifies a professional nurse with clinical expertise and compassionate care.
