January 2026 Honoree
Liliane Veith, MSN, RN, CPSP
Lilli was one of the very first nurses to care for our daughter after she was transferred to her final hospital. From the start, it was clear that she loves being a nurse and pours her whole heart into it. While she was training a new hire, her compassion, diligence, and joy in caring for others shone through in everything she did.
What stood out most about Lilli was her genuine affection for our daughter. She was one of the only nurses we saw take the time to hold our baby simply to comfort her - not because it was part of a task or care routine, but purely to make her feel loved. Even on days when she wasn’t assigned to us, Lilli would stop by to check in, ask how we were doing, and share her warm, reassuring smile.
She also went out of her way to make our two-year-old feel included, bringing toys from the therapy room and treating her with the same kindness and attention. Lilli brought light and comfort into a very stressful time for our family, and her compassion and dedication truly embodied what it means to be a DAISY Nurse.
