Lily Burt, ADN, RN

Lily admitted a Japanese patient who only spoke Japanese. The patient was very scared to be in the hospital, and the family was not able to stay during the night. Lily looked up a Japanese lullaby and memorized it. She requested to have the patient again, and during the night, she sang the lullaby to the patient when she was frightened, which calmed the patient down, allowing her to get some sleep. Lily is a good example of respecting others and treating them with love and kindness. Lily is also willing to help the other staff when they need assistance.
