Nurse Linda is a mentor for all to follow in the nursing profession. My sister was being cared for by Nurse Linda as she recovered from colon surgery. When I saw that my sister had her the second day, I told myself that we hit the jackpot. I admired how Linda could teach, coach and lead all at one time. I spent nearly a day observing, for my own education, how she cared for my sister and her ostomy. Linda had no problem with answering my questions no matter how "stupid/or should know that" they were. I was able to discuss patient care supplies like the ostomy bag, foley and drainage bag, where to place them and frequency of care. All this mentoring by Nurse Linda was extremely helpful for me when my sister returned home. I miss having Linda. If I were a medical professional, I would ride Linda's coat tail until every thread was gone. She is a tremendous mentor. She has a wealth of knowledge, compassion and a get it done attitude.
