In every aspect of Linda’s work, she displays our mission of “Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ” and our service standards.
Linda has been the case manager for the 2nd floor for many years and is truly an unsung hero. She devotes endless amounts of time and dedication to every patient in her care. She pursues every avenue available to ensure that the patient has the best possible care after they are discharged from our facility. She works with ancillary departments to make sure that documentation reflects the patient’s needs upon discharge. She is diligent about pursuing authorization from insurance companies. If the patient does not have insurance and requires care from a long-term facility, she will work toward getting the patient established as charity.
When speaking with the patients and their families Linda will spend as much time as it takes to make sure they understand the process of getting authorization and the nuances with different insurance companies. If a patient is being discharged to home, she will always ascertain that the DME or oxygen the patient needs is securely in place. You never detect impatience or frustration from Linda. She makes it easy for the patients by ensuring the best care and removing anxiety, keeps them safe by placing them in the most appropriate level of care, loves them by treating every patient as if it was her own family and she owns it with following through on all details to the appropriate discharge.
