Linda made our stay at Rush truly amazing. We were extremely discouraged by the fact that our baby wouldn't latch on and feed. The first time she came in the room she spent a large amount of time teaching us a proper technique to get him to latch and eat, and while he was too stubborn to eat right then, her effort to teach us was fantastic. Her helping nature and love of her job didn't stop at that point either. For the next 12 hours, she continued to make us feel more than comfortable.

Linda made a conscious effort to check up on us constantly, making us feel like the only patients in the hospital, and made some of the embarrassing moments and tasks that come after a C-section feel a lot less embarrassing for my girlfriend. When we were told our newborn had a fracture on the back of his skull, she sat with us calming us down and explained what could have caused it and that it may not be as harmful to the baby as my girlfriend and I first thought.

Our son was also born with a 50% chance of having osteogensis imperfecta, and she was very knowledgeable on the subject having worked in a clinic dealing with OI patients. We were very sad to have to switch nurses, not because we didn't like the other nurses, but because Linda was such a great, kindhearted person that helped us tremendously with the first day of our new family. We will definitely be bringing our son back to visit with the nurse that taught his mom how to feed him!
