March 2012 Honoree
linda harrison, RN
Linda is a nurse who identifies opportunities to improve patient outcomes. She takes the initiative to craft a power point presentation to educate our team members about early signs and symptoms of sepsis. Linda received at least 8 starfish in the past months for her compassionate care to her patients: “Linda was outstanding, she went the extra mile”, “Linda has an unbelievable combination of competence and compassion she treated me with kindness and dignity.
Linda is the type of nurse that we all wish we could be. Who, after a 12 hour + shift, clocks out and goes to a nursing home 1ALF where one of our patient’s resides and picks up the patient’s “bag” because it has the patient’s hearing aids, tissues and other items near and dear to them, and brings it back to this patient.
