I was 39 weeks pregnant and had sudden extreme pain. I didn't know at the time that I had a ruptured uterus but I knew something was wrong. I was scared for myself and my baby. While all the nurses during my stay were wonderful, I feel Linda Loeffler should be recognized. Linda was there during the most terrifying moment in my life. She displayed nursing excellence through her compassion, caring, quick nursing judgment and knowledge and helped save my baby and me.
She recognized that is was more than just labor pains and called for more help and through her quick thinking got all staff together swiftly to get my baby out without complications. Her professionalism made my husband and me feel that they were doing everything possible for my baby and me.
During her time taking care of me during my ordeal and in recovery she never wavered in her professionalism and compassion. She even came to see me one last time before I was discharged even though she wasn't taking care of me, to see that we were ok. She really gave us the feeling that she cares for her patients and their well-being.
