I came into the unit unable to breathe. The room was filled with many people. But Linda grabbed my hand, looked straight into my eyes and said, "we got you". I said I don't want to be intubated. She grasped my hand firmer and said "let us take care of you. We got you. Don't worry." It was a scary feeling, being so helpless with all these strangers. But Linda spoke directly to me as everybody else was yelling orders out. She made me feel safe. She also came to see me days after I was admitted. That's a true DAISY Nurse!
