Linda Paul, RN

Linda is the nightshift ANM for RCU. She is new to her role but has been a nurse for a few years. One morning a new patient arrived from the ED with his wife at the bedside. The patient and his wife were both visibly anxious as they were from out of town and do not know the area. Linda identified that they were anxious and spent extra time after her shift was over to help ease their anxiety. Linda helped the patient's wife find a hotel nearby the hospital and also assisted her with becoming familiar with Uber and the trirail. She informed her of where she could find food in the hospital. The patient and his wife were put at ease. This is the kind of leadership that needs to be recognized. Linda is always worrying about the safety and wellbeing of our patients and their families and she is always going the extra mile.
