In her over 20 years as an RN for VNA of Ohio, Linda has consistently and compassionately delivered high-quality care and eased suffering for countless hospice patients. Hospice care takes a certain type of nurse. One that commits to holding hands of patients and families as they walk towards the end of life; one that grieves for those they are caring for and those they have lost; one that, through their grief and that of others, teaches and provides hope, educates on comfort and medications that ease pain and suffering, and celebrates the time patients have left to live by offering the support and tools for them to live the best possible quality of life. Linda is this nurse. The hospice philosophy focuses on holistic care that not only includes the mind, body, and spirit of the patient but that of the family as well. Linda becomes the catalyst for synergy among patients, family, and staff. She embodies the role of a nurse and lifeline in those last days. She always has an answer, no matter how difficult the question, for families in need of guidance. Choosing just three of her talents was difficult. She is truly deserving of recognition.
