...I had surgery to remove my lower left lung for lung cancer. As a 48 year old mother of 6, caregiver for 3 aging parents, and a full time Wound and Ostomy nurse for Mission Health, how I was going to proceed forward from that moment seemed to be only a pathway of uncertainties. My co-workers initiated the help of Integrative Healthcare and Linda Silwedel came to see me everyday. Her visits I found became my salvation. For a short period of time each day, I could escape, relax, and rejuvenate my spirit and my confidence in the future. I found that after her therapy session, I was able to open my eyes and look forward with a new found hope and positive attitude that I needed in order to keep putting one foot in front of the other. She was truly "my angel" that the caring and devoted people that surround me both personally and professionally sent to me. Her compassionate and extraordinary care of me truly changed the light at the end of the tunnel from what felt like the headlight of an oncoming train into a miraculous ray of hope and life.
