I was brought to the hospital with very high blood pressure and a very low heart rate. Once the doctors knew what was wrong, I was brought upstairs from the ER. There was Linda. She greeted me with a warm smile and she made me as comfortable as possible. My daughter brought me in and we were both terrified (mostly me). Linda was kind and warm and made us welcome as if we were family. Linda's smile went from her mouth to her eyes. Linda reassured both of us and explained what would be happening and what to expect. Linda was my nurse for 2 days. Whenever she would pop into my room always with a big smile and warm greeting. The day of my surgery she was not my nurse but she still came into my room to check on me. And there was that SMILE! Her warmth and her time; she made me feel so important and secure.
