Linda Twardy, RN, OCN was nominated for the DAISY Award by the wife of a patient receiving Interferon treatments.
Linda Twardy, who works in the Cancer Center, is personable, kind and caring… she also has a sense of humor and relates well to her patients. She was the RN assigned to administer my husband’s Interferon treatments last fall. Throughout the course of the month long treatments and periodic visits since, Linda went above and beyond her job responsibilities; she even worked during her own husband’s cardiac surgery! She maintains a positive attitude and appears to be a valuable member of an extraordinary team of nurses and others in her department at UPMC Passavant. I hope she’s recognized with this well deserving award!
