December 2010 Honoree
linda vandagriff, RN
Linda is very organized and always willing to help her co-workers. One night a newer nurse was having difficulties with anchoring a catheter and dealing with a “not happy you woke me up” urologist. Linda volunteered to call the MD back (knowing she’d get an earful) which she did because she was being an advocate for the patient (who couldn’t thank her enough) and a great team player. She knew to ask for a urojet, anchored a coude’, and was the hero of the night.
I would like to nominate Linda for a “DAISY” for her consistent excellent nursing skills. Her clinical excellence and attention to detail surpass any nurse I have worked with in my entire career. She deserves recognition for all that she does in a day’s work that is a standard for her.

Thank you, Linda, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
