I am nominating Lindsay for recognition based on the exceptional care she provided to my 82-year-old mother during her stay at the hospital. From the beginning, Lindsay made a lasting impression on our family. When my mother was admitted on Saturday afternoon, Lindsay immediately introduced herself, letting us know her schedule and outlining what my mother could expect in the coming days. Lindsay created a sense of calmness, and my mom felt a bit more at ease. Whenever I arrived or called for an update, she was responsive, thorough, and patient. Lindsay made my mother feel safe and heard. She performed her clinical duties while connecting with my mother as a person. She recognized my mother's sense of humor and engaged with her in a way to lift her spirits. Their lighthearted joking and teasing brought moments of normalcy during a difficult time. Additionally, Lindsay showed care not just for my mother, but for me as her daughter. When she would see us sitting outside the room, she often came over just to check in or chat. These conversations about everyday life helped distract us from the moments of worry and remind us that compassion in health care extends beyond medical treatment. I sincerely hope Lindsay receives the recognition she so greatly deserves. We are grateful for the several miles she went.

Thank you, Lindsay A, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
