I recently had my second daughter, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences. I think this was due to having such an incredible group of nurses. One, specifically, Lindsay Chan, was a literal angel in nurse form. My hospital stay was great. I had a scary few hours after delivering my healthy girl when I lost a lot of blood. I was trying so hard not to panic, and the entire time, Lindsay was such a calming presence. She took the time to explain everything to me in detail about what was going on and what caused it. She checked on my husband, baby, and me constantly in those hours. I definitely think that situation would have been immensely different in terms of scarier, more stressful, intense, etc without Lindsay. She definitely helped get me through hemorrhaging and being absolutely terrified, due to her being such an amazing nurse. I am so thankful I had her as one of my nurses. She is literally an angel in nurse form. I could go on and on about how she meets the criteria for The DAISY Award, but I think this sums it up. Feeling incredibly blessed to be healthy, sitting at home holding my newborn right now. Thanks to all of my incredible nurses, but especially Lindsay.
