Lindsay Duplin was nominated by two staff members from Fryeburg Family Medicine, where she works as a Triage Nurse. Both staff members commented on her dedication and commitment as someone who works well under pressure and is always available to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it.

There were two specific instances cited where Lindsay would exemplify a DAISY. The first instance was with a patient who would anxiously and persistently call the office with specific issues. Each time that he called, Lindsay would unhurriedly discuss his issues with him and successfully calm him.

The second instance was with an elderly patient who is easily confused, and arrived at the office in need of clarification regarding his medications. Although he had no scheduled appointment, Lindsay took the time to sit with this gentleman for at least an hour and discussed each medication with him as well as set them up into medication boxes for him. This is definitely an example of going above and beyond.

To quote her fellow staff members, "There should be more nurses like her around," and "She is 100% here for our patients."
