Lindsay was recognized by a grateful patient who received extraordinary care while hospitalized for emergent surgery. During recovery the patient's father, on hospice, neared death. Lindsay coordinated a call with the hospice staff to assure that the patient was able to speak to and "be there" when her father passed. This was so meaningful to the patient that she nominated Lindsay for her extraordinary efforts during what were otherwise, miserable days.
