I brought my mother into the ED with severe epigastric pain and vomiting with much angst about going into the ED due to lack of good care in the past at another hospital. Lindsay was so caring and compassionate with my mother. The Emergency Department was very busy, and Lindsay had a lot of sick patients, but she made us feel just as important as the others. My mother and I could hear her in rooms next door to ours caring for other patients, and we quickly realized how lucky we were to have Lindsay as our nurse. She took EXCELLENT care of my mother, after being there for several hours the GI doctors were trying to discharge my mother, without even seeing her, when she was obviously still in pain and too sick to be sent home. Lindsay took it upon herself to advocate for my mother until they sent someone to see her and finally admitted her with pancreatitis. I have been around many nurses in my lifetime. I am a retired, registered Echo Tech for 25 years. By far, Lindsay is the BEST, most caring, compassionate, wonderful, and knowledgeable nurse I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I certainly hope McLaren Hospital knows what kind of asset Lindsay is to them. She deserves the most recognition for her talents and accomplishments as an RN. If my family should ever need emergency care in the future, you can bet we will come to McLaren Emergency Department and ask for Lindsay by name. Please recognize her as the beautiful person she is. She is so appreciated by her patients.
