Lindsay is one that has gone far, above, and beyond in her work, and has done it several times without complaints. She gives it her all, and all the time. She is very flexible and works the day and night shift to help her unit. Many times, she has volunteered herself when staffing is desperately needed. This week, once again, she was at work and there is a need for a nurse to work the night shift, she volunteered to go home at 1400, and she came back and worked the night shift. She never complains when she is asked to go into staffing or cover as a leader for a weekend. She does everything with a smile, and she is a strong advocate for the patients and her co-workers.

She often takes it upon herself to find ways to make things right and easy for me and the unit. She has a listening ear and makes every initiative/plan of mine beautiful, making me and the team look good. When you give her an idea, she runs with it and makes it even better. She is truly knowledgeable and shares her knowledge through teaching and precepting new nurses, showing them nursing skills to take care of the most critically ill patients in our hospital. She is very creative and formulates riddles to help nurses think of something else other than work, which is a great way to help nurses de-stress about work. She decorates the unit with the finest ideas she can find. Words alone cannot express how grateful I am to have her in my department, and that is why I would like to nominate her for exhibiting one of the hospital’s core values – Resilience, which she has shown numerous times. Hopefully, she will be recognized for being so resilient in all that she does for my unit and the entire hospital. She is a loyal employee of this organization, and she deserves to be crowned the Employee of this month.
