I want to tell you how much your IR nurses took care of me for my procedure recently. I would like to specifically name Lindsay. I can't tell you the fear I had going into this procedure. My last one at another facility, last year, couldn't have been more different. I was herded in and out like cattle then. This procedure at IU Health with the IR team exceeded any expectation I could have had. I suffer from Bipolar disorder and can be a bit off sometimes. Lindsay more than once reassured me that I was and would be ok. Her attention to detail was remarkable. From the warm blanket she gave me prior to surgery, to the crackers and peanut butter afterward, to making sure my pain was manageable. The care, compassion, and attention to detail were unlike any other. Not only did she make me feel as though my care was priority one, but she cared for my family with me as well. Lindsay made sure I was physically comfortable but made sure I was mentally well also. NOT ONCE did I feel that I was just a number. I was made to feel that my care, my health, and my family all mattered. In today's world where profit comes before care, your team and specifically Lindsay broke that mold. There is no doubt in my mind that I was not the only one to receive such remarkable care that day, but I was made to feel that I was her only priority. Number one in my book.
