Lindsay would explain sweetly what she was doing not just to me but to my mother.
My mother was in ICU and had been in and out of hospitals for a few years. This time was different and even before the doctor said it, we knew she likely would not go home. One nurse each day made me feel comfortable to ask questions over and over, to have her explain what she was doing and why. She would explain sweetly what she was doing not just to me but to my mother. She made me cry when she said "I don’t work tomorrow but I'll be thinking of you" as she gave me a hug. I thanked her and said through tears "I don’t know how you do this day in and day out" she smiled and said, "it's all about having a passion for people". At one point there were 4 generations of my family in the room and I'm so thankful that God put Lindsay in that room with us. I smile through the tears as I think of what she does every day.
