Lindsay told me how much they conversed and related to each other so well. I witness this with every patient that Lindsay takes care of. The patients truly light up when they see Lindsay.
Lindsay embodies integrity, commitment, advocacy, respect and excellence in every way. Every day Lindsay comes to work, she is so very positive to every coworker and patient that she encounters. On busy days, Lindsay is always there right behind you to offer help without even being asked. I work directly alongside Lindsay all 40 hours every week and she ALWAYS has a smile, always explains every little detail to all of our patients who are nervous about their treatments, never gets visibly frustrated, and always strives to communicate with the patients and her coworkers. On weekends off, Lindsay is always volunteering to administer IV antibiotics and IV chemotherapy inpatient. Recently, a patient was starting a treatment inpatient at a different hospital where she had to receive this medication continuously. Lindsay volunteered to administer continuous chemo all weekend on the night shift after working 40 hours during the week. She told me that the patient was nervous and gave her a thank you card at the end of the treatment and stated that if it wasn't for her, the patient would not have been able to get through this treatment. The patient thanked Lindsay for saving her life. The nature of this treatment makes the patient very sick and Lindsay was there to make sure that the patient was not only taken care of but did not feel alone. Lindsay told me how much they conversed and related to each other so well. I witness this with every patient that Lindsay takes care of. The patients truly light up when they see Lindsay. Lindsay is one of the best I have ever worked with and she is truly a DAISY Nurse.
