I am a stroke patient and has been having difficulty getting to sleep. One night when Cathy was on duty, she took the time to talk to me about ways to clear my mind and ease my body. She notified the doctor for medications to help me sleep and gave me warm blankets. She arranged to do all the needed procedures before 10:00 pm so I would not be awakened anymore than absolutely necessary. I was able to rest and felt better to do my PT and OT the next day. Cathy is my "sleep whisperer." She is my idea of a compassionate nurse and a true DAISY Nurse.
