Lindsay is selfless in her devotion and dedication to the staff, families, and babies of the NICU.
Lindsay has worked as the day clinical manager in the NICU for the past 5 years. She went from a night staff nurse to the day manager position and has excelled in the role. She is a mentor and role model for staff and has created relationships of trust, respect, and compassion for the NICU staff on all shifts. Lindsay has kept up all of her clinical expertise and can easily jump into care at the bedside to assist staff with care, admissions, discharges, functions in the charge role, and also as a staff nurse. Lindsay never hesitates to assist her team in any way possible and thrives in being able to teach staff and mentor staff and watch them excel.
Lindsay has been such a critical team member for me this year as I have battled my health issues and has picked up responsibilities for me, attended meetings, and kept the ship running smoothly with the other 2 clinical managers. Lindsay has frequently attended meetings in my absence with other directors and physician leaders to keep the NICU involved and moving forward when I have been unable to attend.
Lindsay is selfless in her devotion and dedication to the staff, families, and babies of the NICU. As I have led the activities for the move, she has taken the lead with NICU workflows and processes to ensure staff have a voice in decisions and led the construction team to make decisions for the future. Lindsay takes on the difficult families and collaborates for the best family outcome. Lindsay runs the NICU staff meetings, collects data for Interdisciplinary and M&M, heads our CLABSI efforts and collaborative with CHA, and has led the construction efforts. Lindsay will never know how important she is and what a difference she makes every day in the work she does. I could not keep it all going without her. She is a born leader and a very priceless resource for the NICU.
