Lindsay Wright RN was nominated by the son-in-law of a patient after a stay on PCRMC's Transitional Care Facility where Lindsay was working. Lindsay has recently transferred to ICU and the TCF unit was reluctant to let her go!
"I wanted to let you know that my father-in-law was moved a few days ago to the long-term care facility. Prior to his move a whole host of care givers from the TCF came by to see him and encourage him before he left. While visiting my father-in-law in his new surroundings we were surprised when Lindsay and nursing assistant Sarah came in to see how he was doing. Lindsay had just finished a 12 hour shift and stayed for over two hours. I felt compelled to share this with you and say what a wonderful, hard-working, compassionate, and professional young lady she is. She is truly special. Not only did she come by to see my father-in-law after working, she and Sarah drove all the way to St. James and bought him a piece of pie from Slice of Pie out their own pockets. It is hard to say just how much we appreciate what she's done for my father-in-law and family."
"After 22 years of Marine Corps experience mentoring and leading thousands of Marines in all climbs and places and now working with some of the smartest people in the U.S. government, I consider myself a quick study on the character of people. If Lindsay were my Marine, I would recommend her for promotion and advanced opportunities. The Marine Corps is extraordinarily selective of who they give such opportunities to, and I would without hesitation select Lindsay."
Congratulations Lindsay on being a nurse who consistently demonstrates excellence through your clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. You are an outstanding role model in our PCRMC nursing community!
