Lindsey helped a patient admitted to one of the Internal Medicine teams to overcome cultural barriers, poor understanding of medical terminology, and a language barrier to accept and agree to life-saving therapy when multiple teams of providers across multiple hospitalizations and visits were unable to achieve this. She spent time listening to the patient's concerns, provided education, and answered questions about the patient's concerns. This patient is lucky to have had her taking care of them; she truly saved their life.
