I will be forever grateful for Lindsey and the support, love, and compassion she showed to my husband and me as we were grieving (and for the blessing Lindsey was to me during my stay at the hospital).
Lindsey was the first nurse I met when I got admitted to the hospital. I was very nervous and scared about what my pregnancy diagnosis had come to be. Lindsey did a great job answering my questions as to what the medications were and why they were giving them to me. She also did her best to make me feel at ease on the first night I was there. I was told that I was going to be in the hospital until I delivered. I ended up staying in the hospital for a little over two weeks.

During my stay in the hospital, Lindsey was my nurse multiple times. I was always extremely happy to see her, and I was sad when her shift was over. Whenever I had doubts about my pregnancy, Lindsey would uplift me and encourage me. She even took the time to teach me how to crochet a baby blanket.

On Monday, I ended up having an emergency C-section, which saved my life and allowed my husband and me to have 13 hours with our daughter before she went into the arms of Jesus early Tuesday morning. After my labor and delivery day shift nurse got me situated in a postpartum room, I asked her if Lindsey could come see me if she was coming into work that (Monday) night.

Around 7 pm, Lindsey stepped away from the Labor and Delivery floor to come check on me in my postpartum room. It was such an amazing surprise, and I was so thankful she came to check on how the baby and I were doing. My husband and I got called up to the NICU somewhere between 2 and 3 am (I think) on Tuesday morning. When I was holding our daughter as she passed, Lindsey came up to the NICU and comforted me during this most difficult time.

She and my husband gathered my things from the postpartum room and brought me back to an anteroom. Lindsey was my night nurse for the remainder of my time in the hospital. I will be forever grateful for Lindsey and the support, love, and compassion she showed to my husband and me as we were grieving (and for the blessing Lindsey was to me during my stay at the hospital).
