March 2013 Honoree
lindsey huber, RN, BSN
Lindsey Huber was nominated for the DAISY Award by a former patient's husband. In the nomination he writes,
"I was visiting my wife (age 85) and was extremely worried about how I can manage her care once she is released from her present stay here at St. Luke's. Nurse Lindsey provided lengthy information regarding a rehab arrangement here (on 8th floor) to help with transition from hospital to home. I never heard of it and sounds like a possible blessing for us. I'm 82 and need to go to KC VA Hospital 2-3 times weekly for a (cancer of blood) condition amyloidosis. Nurse Lindsey really helped with this information. Thanks!"
