Lindsey demonstrates numerous characteristics that make her stand out as an excellent nurse. She is very knowledgeable, a resource to peers, makes the work environment welcoming to staff new and old. She always has a smile on her face, very compassionate which shows through in her work. She is a great team-player and role-model. She is kind, sweet, caring and always puts her patients and families first.
Lindsey was taking care of a new mom and dad whose baby required the NICU. The mother went to the NICU because the baby wasn't doing well. Lindsey brought pain meds to the Mom in NICU so she could stay on top of her pain and be near the baby. Lindsey stayed by the parents as they went through one of the most devastating things in life. She didn't say anything; she was just there for them.
