Lindsey routinely goes above and beyond for all her patients making sure each of them feel loved and special. With her stroke patients, she will lovingly braid their hair, hold their hands, and play their favorite songs. There are too many instances to name just one, but a specific patient encounter always stood out to me.

There was a post stroke patient who was very difficult to care for and would kick and push nurses away and had been in restraints in the past. Lindsey had managed to calm him down. Each shift, she would come into his room with her warming smile and bring his favorite snacks. He would light up every time he would see her. It may seem small, but I’ve seen so many instances of her caring and compassion having an unforgettable influence on her patients and their families who will always remember her by name.
