A while back we had a patient that has been a patient at the clinic for many years that did not have any transportation back home. Lindsey let the patient know that she would be happy to drop them off on her way home if they could wait until she got off of work for the day. The patient was so appreciative and thankful for her kindness. Lindsey also steps up when we have someone walk into the clinic with an emergent need. She never hesitates to help. A patient had an allergic reaction to a vaccine that he had received in the clinic. When the patient came back in, she jumped up and took charge. She got him comfortable in a room, monitored his vitals, and consulted with the physician. The patient and his wife were so thankful that she made him feel at ease, and the patient was able to discharge home. She is also an excellent coworker by always offering to stay late to work one on one with other nurses to help them with additional training. Lindsey provides an excellent environment because she is always willing to help others when needed. She has been asked to provide care to the tougher patients, due to her confidence and demeanor towards the patients and families. Lindsey is always thinking of others, whether it's making sure a coworker is being celebrated for a birthday or special event, or making sure a patient is celebrated for overcoming medical obstacles. She deserves the DAISY Award because she comes to work with a willingness to do good each and every day. She loves patient care and has a wonderful attitude towards patient needs and concerns. Lindsey is an exceptional nurse in a clinic setting, and goes above and beyond each day!
